Pageland Dragway House Rules

While we can't cover & announce here on our website every rule to cover every situation, here is list of information to help you better understand some of the house & specialty event rules of Pageland Dragway. The most important thing to remember is that Pageland Dragway will do everything in it's ability to make sure that all staff, spectators & racers are safe. Please use common sense when making decision while attending any of our events. And when it comes to any kind of problem or issue, Pageland Dragway track officials have final decision on any issue that could arise at anytime. Please follow any instructions given to you by our track staff. If you not sure, ask to clarify information. Remember, track officials has final ruling on everything!

Drivers and Crew members at an event shall conduct themselves according to the highest standards of behavior and sportsmanship, particularly in relation to other competitors and track officials, and in a manner that will not harm the reputation of the IHRA, Pageland Dragway or the sport of Drag Racing. Failure to do so may result in penalties ranging from disqualification from the event to being banned from Pageland Dragway at the discretion of the Conduct Advisory Board.

Any condition considered to be unsafe by Pageland Dragway track officials will be adequate grounds for barring or withdrawing a vehicle from participation in any event, until the fault has been remedied to the satisfaction of track officials. The decision of track officials will be considered final in all inspection or elimination protests or procedures. Tech staff reserves the right to disqualify any car not meeting the rules or the spirit of the rules. Pageland Dragway track staff also reserves the right to make amendments to the rules at later dates. It is recommended to all racers that run a 6.99 or faster in the 1/8 mile, have either a diaper or an approved belly pan to run your vehicle at our track. This helps us maintain our racing surface & for our racer's safety.

All drivers & crew members must obtain proper wristbands. If a driver is seen not wearing a wrist band, they will not be able to make a pass until one is present. Crew members assisting race vehicles to the starting line must obtain a wristband to enter the race area.

Helmets are required regardless of E.T. or speed. Other proper safety gear may be required for racers such as, but not limited to, jackets, pants, proper shoes/boots, fire suites, body restraints, kevlar apparel, gloves, eye protection, depending on class. Open toe shoes are not allowed while racing.

During certain event, the staging lane assignments are different. This may change at anytime during any event. Make sure to read & listen for announcements.

When our lights are on, your lights must be on. In any race sessions after dark, each race vehicle must have at least one working taillight. Racers will get one warning for not having tail lights on. A second infraction of this rule may result in disqualification.

Disqualifications are made on a first or worst basis as per the IHRA rulebook. EXAMPLE: Crossing the centerline is considered worse than a red light. Since we cannot possibly cover all situations that may arise during eliminations, it is the race director's responsibility to make a judgment call on disputed calls. If it becomes necessary to settle a dispute, the race director will speak with the drivers involved ONLY, not the crews, wives, husbands, etc.

Anyone who locks up the brakes/smokes tires through the traps will be disqualified.
